G-Tech launches Bluetooth enabled wireless fabric keyboard
G-Tech is now launching a new fabric keyboard called the Wireless Smartphone Keyboard using ElekTex smart fabric technology developed by Eleksen Group. The new G-Tech Wireless Smartphone Keyboard is Bluetooth enabled which means it’ll work with a wide variety of mobile devices such as PDAs and Smartphones. Specs on the keyboard include:

WALTHAM, Mass. –(Business Wire)– Aug. 16, 2006 Eleksen Group plc (AIM:ELG.L), the inventor and manufacturer of ElekTex(R) smart fabric touchpads for consumer electronics, today announced that they have signed G-Tech to offer their innovative wireless fabric keyboard to consumers and to enterprises who have implemented mobile working solutions using smartphone platforms. G-Tech, a part of Goodhope Bags, markets a line of ElekTex enabled consumer products including the keyboard and a range of iPod enabled backpacks.
The G-Tech keyboard is a laptop-sized QWERTY accessory that delivers all the capabilities of the office keyboard to busy executives in an ultra-portable and compact package. It is compatible with most popular devices from BlackBerry, Nokia, Palm and Microsoft (see full list at http://www.eleksen.com).
The keyboard increases productivity for mobile workers by complementing existing smartphone devices, which rely on small thumbpads for data entry. Thumbpads are excellent for quick messaging, but can be awkward for more elaborate tasks and applications. As such, enterprises may not be getting optimal productivity returns on their investment in these devices.

The Eleksen keyboard aims to stretch these productivity gains even further.
