And now it’s called… the BlackBerry Pearl
The much rumored new BlackBerry device – once called the BlackBerry Stealth, then the 8100 … now has a new name. It’s now known as the BlackBerry Pearl and it’s supposedly coming to T-Mobile on Sept. 18th. Engadget has the details on the new upcoming RIM device including a press release for the phone that’s NOT supposed to come out yet. Here are some of the juicy details:
- Voice activated dialing
- Polyphonic, MP3, and MIDI ring tone support
- Speakerphone
- Smart dialing
- Conference calling support
- Speed dials
- Call forwarding
- Bluetooth support
- First BlackBerry to offer a built in digital camera with flash and zoom
- 240 x 250 resolution color display with 650k colors
- Media player built in
- 64 MB of internal memory and a built in SD card slot
- EDGE network support
The phone will be available starting in Sept from T-Mobile at a price of $199.
