LaptopMag has posted a review of the crazy Dell XPS M2010 laptop/desktop system here .. and I do mean CRAZY. I’ve been a bit out of the gadget/computer world in recent months so I totally missed it when Dell announced this model but my god.. how can anyone actually call this a laptop? This behemoth of a machine is better suited for your home desktop than for the road. However, if you MUST have a 20.1 inch display while travelling, this might be the best way possible. However, keep in mind that your back might never recover after taking … erumm.. lugging this beast around. Feature wise, you get an Intel Core Duo processor inside, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, a 20.1 inch widescreen display powered by a 256 MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 graphics card, 8 friggin speakers AND a subwoofer, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, a 240GB HDD and a DVD burner. Here’s the verdict from LaptopMag:
It’s heavy, a little unwieldy, and obscenely expensive. But if you’re searching for a transportable all-in-one PC that can double as a stereo, DVD player, and DVR/TV (if you spend a little more), the XPS M2010 is a splurge-worthy status symbol.
You know – you have to commend Dell for thinking outside the box.. but seriously though – this is a cool looking desktop system. It would never be my personal mobile system!!!
