OS X for Intel now a proprietary system
Well I suppose this was bound to happen at some point. Apple has closed off OS X for the Intel platform – in particular the source code required to build a customized OS X kernal is no longer available. Apple still publishes the source code for various pieces of OS X such as their commands, utilities, and various other internal Apple technologies but Kernal access is no longer available. PowerPC Mac users can still access the source code for their platforms but not Intel based users.
