Pexagon Technology has announced two new services for buyers of their portable hard drive solutions. The two services are labeled as “dog tag” solutions in that they offer ways to identify who the drive belongs to, as well as a way to protect their hard drive valuables.
The first service is a custom laser engraving service for $9.99. It’s available for their Store-It drive enclosures and allows users to personalize their drives with text for easy and fast identification.
The second service is the myDrive LOST-N-FOUND service which engraves an ID number on the drive which is then stored at Pexagon. Pexagon stores the user information in their own database so should you ever lose your drive, you can have someone else return it to Pexagon for a reward. The drive would then be returned back to you free of charge.
