Motorola has announced a new high end ruggedized iDEN phone called the Motorola i580. The i580 meets military level qualifications for things such as blowing rain, dust, shock, and vibration. Other features on the i580 include:

• 1.3 megapixel digital camera
• Bluetooth wireless support
• microSD support
• New Push to talk features including “Push to Smart Replies”, “Push to Meet”

Push-to-Smart replies allows a user to send a text message using PTT. Push-to-Meet allows users to send datebook reminders via PTT to other users. The Motorola i580 should be available sometime during the second quarter of this year.
