InfoSyncWorld has posted a review of the Orange SPV M600 mobile phone here on their website. This is definitely one of the finest Windows Mobile phones that I’ve seen thus far. The Orange SPV M600 utilizes the Windows Mobile Phone Edition OS and it’s pretty clear from the snapshots that Orange did some modifications to the base OS GUI. The phone features:

  • 2.8 inch QVGA display
  • 2 megapixel digital camera
  • Quad band GSM support
  • EDGE support
  • Bluetooth wireless 1.2 support
  • WiFi 802.11b support
  • USB 2.0 support
  • 43 MB of storage space
  • 25 MB of RAM
  • SDIO capable SD/MMC expansion slot

The phone is definitely small for a Windows Mobile phone but that also means the phone sacrifices a keyboard/thumbboard – not great if you’re a heavy texting person. Here’s their verdict:

An excellent display and comprehensive connectivity are held back by the absence of a thumbboard and 3G, resulting in a device best suited for viewing rather than editing data. At this, it does very well indeed, and although it’s no match for the operator’s own SPV M5000, good battery life, an improved setup for one-handed navigation and a 2 Megapixel camera render it a very nice sidekick indeed – even though its performance is modest and its memory limited.
