Alienware Area-51 m5500 Review
Dual core this.. dual core that.. seems like every single new laptop model coming out has a dual core Intel processor. However, let’s not discount the good ol Pentium M processor which can still provide an enormous amount of power for a mobile system. Case in point – the LaptopMag’s Editor’s Choice laptop – the Alienware Area-51 m5500 – as reviewed here on their website. This 7.2 lb laptop features a 2GHz Pentium M processor, dual graphics cards, a cool looking chassis with rubberized grips, a 15.4 inch WSXGA+ display with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 and a 60 GB 7200 RPM HDD. Looks pretty good on paper (and great for gamers) so here’s the verdict:
With its dual graphics chip solution, enough storage to save tons of music and videos, and decent sound, the Alienware Area-51 m5500 is a mainstream laptop that can also play most 3D games. This laptop satisfies two categories of buyers: business users who need battery life, but also consumers looking for a good all-around notebook for multimedia and some gaming. Overall, the Alienware Area-51 m5500 is a solid choice.
