There’s been a flood of Windows Mobile based Smartphones recently but don’t kid yourself folks - there are still other options out there. There’s always Palm based Smartphones and of course - Linux based ones like the ImCoSys Linux Smartphone talked about over at GearLive.com. ImCoSys is a Swiss based company that started up back in 2005. They’ll be showcasing the phone at the upcoming CeBIT event next week (which I wish we were at). Details wise - the new phone features:

  • WiFi and USB support
  • 64MB Flash, 64MB SDRAM
  • SD slot
  • 240 x 320 transflective TFT screen
  • Touch screen
  • GPS module

  • 40 polyphonic MIDI sounds
  • Uses embedded Linux
  • Supports various document formats
