Dell announced the introduction of two new Inspiron models today – the Inspiron E1505 and the Inspiron 6400 – both of which feature the new Intel Core Duo processor and basically look alike except that they target different markets. The E1505 is designed for entertainment minded consumers who want a system that can handle TV, video, audio, and photos. The 6400 is a bit more professional oriented as the target audience is the small office/home office customer. As we mentioned before, both notebooks feature the new Intel Core Duo processor and come with 15.4 inch widescreen displays. Other features on these notebooks include:

  • Either Intel Core Duo or Intel Core Solo processor
  • support for up to 2GB DDR2 memory
  • Intel Integrated GMA 950 graphics
  • SATA HDD up to 100GB and 7200 RPM
  • DVD burner
  • WiFi support

The new models are available immediately and start at around $929 for the Intel Core Solo processor.
