MobileMag has dug up some dirt on a supposed new portable media player coming from Acer (what!?!?! you might ask) called the Acer MP-500. This device supposedly features a 3.5 inch touchscreen display with a 320 x 240 resolution. Media wise, the MP-500 is slated to support MP3, WMA, AAC, JPG, GIF, and BMP file formats. There’s even a built in microphone which lends MobileMag to think that there’s going to be voice recording in this thang. Battery life looks to be four hours for video and eight hours for audio (which is pretty sad folks). Oh yes, the MP500 includes a built in HD which can be purchased in either 20GB or 40GB configurations. No launch date or price as of yet.
