German startup car manufacturer Loremo, will be unveiling a new fuel efficent car this week at the Geneva Motor Show 2006. The car is called the Loremo LS and is powered by a 2 cylinder Turbo Diesal engine (so you know the efficiency is gonna rock). It has a 20 liter tank and can get a whopping 100 km for every 1.5 liters of diesel fuel (which means you can get roughly 62 miles for every liter of diesal fuel.. or put it another way – for 20 liters, you’ll get a whopping 1240 miles! Of course this isn’t exactly the fastest car out there – it goes 0 – 100 km/hour in 20 seconds and it’s top speed is 160km/h. However, the car only weighs 450 kg and can seat four passengers. There’s an on board PC, an integrated MP3 player, and a navigation system also.
For those looking for some more oomph – check out the Loremo GS which will give you a 50 hp engine and a fuel efficiency of 100 km for every 2 liters.

If you’re into model cars, then you’ll have to check out the new Corgi iCar designed for digital music player owners. The iCar is basically a model car which serves as a speaker system for your portable digital audio player. You can choose from two different car models – the Nissan 240 SX and the Cadillac Escalade. It’ll even move to the sound of your music – moving side to side, front to back, and up and down.. The car should be available sometime this summer for an affordable price of $34.99 – pretty sweet if you ask me. It’ll be neat to have a model Escalade sitting on my work desk pumping out tunes after hours.

Digital camera introductions just keep on coming in don’t they? (yes we’re trying to keep up here at Krunker.com – especially since I was out of town for a few days so some of this if not all is old news now). In any case, the next new Sony digi-cam model is the Sony Cybershot DSC-H2. This is another high zoom digital camera with a slightly smaller image sensor coming in at six megapixels but still sporting a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 12x optical zoom lens. You’ll also get a focal length range from 36 to 432 mm – not too shabby. The H2 comes with Sony’s SteadyShot optical image stabilization and Clear RAW noise reduction technologies as well as Sony’s Real Imaging Processor.  The new Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 will also be coming out in May for around $400 – slightly lower than the previous camera mentioned here at Krunker.

Looking for an alternative HTPC user interface? Check out the review of SageTV Media Center Version 4.16 over at HTPCNews.com. This particular release finds added support for OTA HDTV and DVB-T transmissions. Another important thing to note – the beta version – 4.1.7 – includes placeshifting capabilities – a term popularized by Sling and the SlingBox. In any case, here’s the verdict for 4.16 from HTPCnews:

I can’t really come out of this review saying that Sage lives up to its Media Center name. Perhaps its a sign of things to come but right now they have some serious shortcomings that they need to address to become a full on Media Center. I do think that the shortcomings are easily addressed and I hope to see the Sage team do this for its next release.

CamcorderInfo has posted a review of the Panasonic PV-GS300 Camcorder here on their website. The GS300 is the followup model to the Panasonic GS250 camcorder which was a highly regarded camcorder during 2005. This new camcorder features:

    • 10x optical zoom
    • 700x digital zoom
    • 3.1 Megapixel still picture recording
    • Leica Dicomar lens
    • Optical Image Stabilizer

    The verdict from CamcorderInfo:

The PV-GS300 is the most perplexing type of “replacement” model. The key features that made its predecessor so popular have, in part, been tossed out the window. Say goodbye to analog-to-digital pass through, a focus ring, the headphone jack, and an easily accessible SD card slot.

However, if you’re simply a consumer in the market for a solid performer in this price range, the GS300 might suit you just fine.
