There is a lot of hype on the net about the Gateway FX510 system. DO NOT believe any of it! I purchased the 510 system in Feb and after 6 weeks of phone calls, lies, and broken promises the system finally arrived. It worked fine for about 30 days when we had monitor problems. Gateway replaced the memory, the graphics card, and the motherboard. After finally getting to the executive level of Gateway, I thought we'd get someone who was interested in helping. The person did help, by ordering me a new system. It failed out of the box. Replaced another motherboard and the system was worse off than before the board replacement. Got a third system...failed out of the box and tech support diagnosed it as both video cards being bad. Six months after the first purchase, the computers have been down more than up. I spent $4K on a machine that is nothing more than a boat anchor. I want my money back and if they refuse, my lawyer and I will talk about arbitration. I'm done!!!

I ordered a DX210S from Gateway and picked the Pent.4 631 HT Processor (over the 524) with 1 Gig of RAM plus the NVIDIA 6600 card & Sound Blaster4. (I own a 22" Viewsonic CRT)

They switched it without telling me back to the 524 and I ended up having to get harsh with them over it. I'm not a PC genius, I went on instinct alone cause the HT seemed better to me from what I read about it on the net. (I do some gaming, but nothing hard core.)
I don't know what the deal was on my having to fight for the processor I was issued the quote on, but I have the system now and I'm VERY PLEASED!!!!! Total Cost was just over $900. & that includes taxes/delivery.
Oh, It is SO MUCH quieter than my old(2003) AMD system, yet has a HUGE fan & HUGE Processor heat sink too.
