The folks over at iLounge have a couple of juicy reports about upcoming Apple product rumors. First up is the new iPod video erum.. I mean video iPod rumors. Two separate reports today have claimed that a “true” video iPod device with a large touch screen display will be coming out this year – perhaps as soon as April to coincide with Apple’s 30th anniversary. Why are we saying video iPod now? Well the current iPod is just that – an iPod which also happens to support video playback. The new supposed video iPod will have video support front and center with a super large 3.5 inch display which will occupy much of the front of the current iPod. It will also have a touch activated scroll wheel/digital scroll wheel (yes it sounds like the much lauded click wheel is gone). You can read more about this rumor here.
