Audi has upped the ante for automobile sound systems by offering a new high end Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System for upcoming Audi A8 and S8 vehicles. When designing the new sound system, Bang & Olufsen took into account various features and capabilities of the car’s internal characteristics – things that would influence the way sound is heard by its passengers. The new Advanced Sound System consists of 14 active high end loudspeakers, B & O’s Acoustic Lens Technology, and two sets of amplifiers – a DSP and a high performance amp. The optional Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System will cost an extra $11,500 on top of the car’s price – depending on which car you decide to pick from.
