Not quite ready to give up on VHS are you? No worries! Sony has announced two new DVD recorders with support for Hard Drives AND VHS recording! Yup – these are dual format systems. The two new recorders are the RDR-VH95 and the RDR-VH85. The basic difference between the two models are the hard drive sizes. The VH95 comes with a 250GB HDD while the VH85 comes with a 160GB HDD.

The two devices come with the following features:

• Electronic Program Guide with up to 8 days of information
• Dual tuners built right in allow you to record two different shows at  the same time
• Bi-directional dubbing between VHS/DVD/HDD
• Support for DV input from camcorders

Expect the two units to appear in Japan around Feb. 21st. No price information as of yet.
