Samsung Electronics has introduced four new 2.5 inch hard drives designed for notebooks and enterprise applications. The new hard drives are a part of the M60 family and consist of the following models:

For the M60 SATA Series, there are two new drives – the 100GB HM100JI which will retail for $170 and the 120GB HM120JI which should retail for $200.

The regular M60 Series have two new drives also – the 100GB HM100JC which will retail for $150 and the 120GB HM120JC which will retail for $180.

The M60 and M60 SATA Hard Drives feature:

  • 8MB of onboard cache
  • 5400 RPM spindle speed
  • Equipped with Samsung’s Hybrid Latch System which eliminates rattling noises and reduces clicking noise generated when a drive head moves on and off the disk
  • FDB(Fluid Dynamic Bearing) Motor

Samsung Offers Increased Capacity 100GB and 120GB 2.5-Inch Hard Disk Drives for Notebook PCs and Enterprise Applications
