Here’s a new Windows Media Center PC to consider – it’s called the Blueado m5e and it measures 4.2 inches (H) x 7 inches (L) x 12 inches (D). Despite it’s small form factor, the m5e offers up a wealth of features including:
- 200GB HDD
- Built in DVD Burner
- 5.1 Dolby Digital output
- Front USB 2.0 and FireWire connections
- 7 in 1 card reader
- S-Video, DVI, VGA, and Standard Video out
- Front audio out and in
200GB is just good enough for the majority of MCE users out there. Since you’re not dealing with HD video , you’ll be able to record a good number of television shows before running out of disk space. Speaking of HD, you probably can’t add an HD tuner card into the m5e but we can’t say until we actually look inside one. You could add an external USB tuner though.
I still find Media Center PCs that look like Hi-Fi equipment more attractive but if you’re constrained with space, the m5e is definitely a viable option.
