The world’s smallest PC power supply
Now THIS is small folks. Mini-box.com has introduced what they call the world’s smallest PC power supply unit – the picoPSU-120 mini PSU. This 120 watt PSU measures (get this..) 31 x 45 x 20 mm! That’s roughly the size of two AA batteries. HOLY #&)@! Of course given that the unit is so small, don’t expect a fan or anything. The PSU runs completely silent and in fact, it plugs right into the motherboards 12 volt connector. There’s no need to run a cable from the PSU to the mobo.. sweet! At 120 watts, the picoPSU is supposedly capable of handling a Pentium 4 processor but honestly – you’ll want to use a less power hungry CPU like a VIA processor. Nevertheless this is some cool stuff if you ask me. Ideal for small form factor systems and applications.
