Start building a Windows Vista compatible system today
With Microsoft’s Windows Vista just around the corner now, many are wondering whether their current system specs are going to be good enough to run this beast of an OS. Truth be told – probably not. Not only will you need a good bump up in processing speed, you’ll need a pretty beefy graphics card to fully enjoy all the new features of Vista. ExtremeTech has published an article detailing systems specs for different Vista profiles – everything from basic systems to Media Center systems. I’m already thinking about my current MCE box and I’m truly hoping that Core Duo processors will be available for desktops by the time Vista ships. I’m also realizing that my creaky 9800 Pro is going to need an upgrade for Vista.
