LaptopMag has posted a review of the small Cowon iAudio U2 digital audio player here. This flash based player is available in storage configurations of 256MB up to 2GB. The 2GB unit retails for $249. The U2 supports MP3, WMA, WAV, WMA DRM, and OGG file formats and has a battery life of 20 hours. It measures only 2.9 x 1.0 x 0.7 inches and weighs a scant 1.2 ounces. Finally to top things off, the U2 comes with a 128 x 64 pixel LCD screen and an integrated FM tuner to boot (yes there’s a voice recorder also). LaptopMag’s verdict?
It’s a little pricey given its limited capacity, but this player’s excellent design, feature set, and whopping 20 hours of battery life nearly justify the premium.
