Konica Minolta exit the camera and photo business
Konica Minolta have announced that they will be exiting the camera and photo business starting this year. Konica will be transferring several assets in their camera business to Sony including D-SLR assets and will be shutting down operations by March 31st, 2006. They will also be exiting the color film and color paper market by the end of March 31st, 2007. Exiting the camera business means just that for Konica – no more digital cameras and no more film cameras.
