Canon recently introduced a new camcorder to their ZR product line called the Canon ZR6500. This affordable camcorder comes with a widescreen LCD display and a 1.6 inch CCD with 680k pixels. Yep. that’s right.. an affordable ZR camcorder that comes with 16:9 widescreen recording capabiities. There’s also a widescreen button on the camera which allows you to switch between 16:9 to 4:3. The ZR600 features:

• SD/MMC memory card slot
• PictBridge support
• 2.7 inch widescreen display
• 25x optical zoom
• 800x digital zoom
• Uses miniDV tape
