Apple Computer iPod Radio Remote Review
At MacExpo last week, Apple announced several new products – notably the MacBook Pro and the iMac – both of which feature the new Intel Core Duo processor. However, they also announced several new iPod accessories including a remote control/FM radio tuner called the iPod Radio Remote. iLounge managed to already pick up a unit and reviews the product here. This $49 dollar remote is designed to work with the iPod nano and the 5G iPod (video). The verdict?
For the $49 price, what Apple’s Radio Remote delivers is a superior package to its $39 predecessor: you get added functionality, a superior control design, and remote-ready earbuds. You also get an FM radio experience that’s superior to Griffin’s similarly-priced iFM on interface, presets, and physical accessory size, too.
The only feature missing from this package is the ability to record music off the radio stations.. oh yeah.. support for older iPods would have been nice too. Oh well.
