Here’s a new Windows Media Center system for you to ponder about - the PLIX Extria Media Server from Ricavision. It’s an Intel Viiv compliant system featuring a dual core Pentium D processor and the Intel i975X chipset. You’ll get dual VGA capabilities with 1080i HD output and High Definition 7.1 audio output. Other features include:
- CE focused video inputs and outputs including HD output
- Full 7.1 “HD audio” outputs
- Powerful, flexible, extensible, easy to setup and use
- Up to six internal hard drive bays available and optional RAID 0 or RAID 5 configurations
The system is available for $2999.. ah yes one more thing. This system can be upgraded to support CableCard when the OpenCard initiative begins later this year.
