Kyocera is introducing a new handset called the Kyocera Strobe designed specifically for people who text message or email a great deal. The Strobe looks like a candybar style phone on the outside but it’s actually a clam shell phone which opens up length wise. Once you open it up you’ll find yourself a full QWERTY keyboard .. well actually a thumbboard. The Strobe supports your standard MMS, SMS, and EMS capabilities as well as Instant Messaging applications. This is a CDMA supporting phone although it’s unclear which carrier will actually carry this phone as of this time. Other features include:

  • Hidden QWERTY keypad to support email, chat, MMS, EMS/SMS
  • Dual-color displays, integrated loop antenna, and speakerphone
  • VGA camera with flash
  • Built-in polyphonic ring tones, screen savers, and caller alerts
  • [Check it out via InfoSyncWorld.com]
