Apple has apparently filed to trademark the term “Mobile Me” which could be used in a wide variety of businesses. This trademark application is fueling further speculation that Apple plans to enter the mobile phone market with an iPod phone of some sort. Apple made the filing on Jan. 5th of this year which covers areas incuding computing devices, mobile devices, and mobile services. There’s also rumors that Apple could become a mobile virtual network operator by reselling cellular phone service provided by another vendor.
