I didn’t get a chance to post this the other day but I thought it would be cool to mention it nevertheless. Levi’s has announced a new line of jeans called the RedWire DLX which are designed for men and women. What’s so special about these jeans? They’re designed to work with the Apple iPod. Yes that’s right folks – the jeans have a built in iPod docking cradle along the side pocket and the jean designers have supposedly taken great care ensuring the iPod is hidden away neatly and securely without an unsightly hump being displayed (I can hear it now – “is that an iPod in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?”). But wait, there’s more! Levi’s has also designed an external joystick remote control unit into the jean’s watch pocket to control the iPod operations. You can play/pause, track forward, track backward, and adjust the volume control without removing the iPod from your jeans.  Finally there’s even a retractable headphone unit built right into the jeans. Expect these jeans to hit the store shelves in the fall of 2006.
