Griffin Technology TuneCenter for the Apple iPod
Turn your Apple iPod into a home Media Center – at least that’s the hope of Griffin Technology with their new TuneCenter product. You attach the TuneCenter dock to your television set and to your stereo system and you can easily view your photos, watch videos, and listen to your music stored on the Apple iPod. Griffin added their own graphical user interface specifically designed for the television screen which includes playlist information, song information, and easy song navigation of your entire music library. They’ve also included a 14 button remote control to the TuneCenter so you can sit back on your couch and control your iPod/TuneCenter from across the room.
This is an awesome product idea for people who aren’t willing to shell out loads of cash for a PC based home theater system. Just turn your $299 or $399 iPod video into a small media center for multimedia playback!
Ah but wait – there’s one more thing. The TuneCenter comes with an Ethernet jack which means you can connect the unit to your home network and then play Internet radio from your TuneCenter straight to your A/V equipment. Very very cool.Â
The best thing about the TuneCenter? The price – it’s only $99.99 and you can preorder it now on their website.
