While the rest of the world was at CES 2006 this weekend, I trekked on over to the Los Angeles Convention Center where the L.A. Auto Show was being held. Armed with my handy dandy Canon G6 digital camera, I went about and took as many shots as I could of the latest cars. I’ll try and add some info on the cars but you guys and gals will have to do most of the research yourself. I’m not necessarily a car fanatic as much as a technology fanatic so please enjoy!
Toyota
Here are pictures from the Toyota section of the show:
First up the hybrid Prius.
The Corolla:
The Camry Solara:
Here’s the new Land Cruiser FJ Cruiser:

Continuing the fast car route, we have the ‘06 350 Z which comes with a 300 hp 3.5 loter V6 engine.
Infiniti
I had to drop the Infinit section since I drive a black on black ‘04 G35 four door myself. There wasn’t anything particularly interesting on the Infiniti side of things but I took some shots anyhow.
Here’s the four door G35 which comes with either a 280 hp V6 with automatic or a 298 hp v6 with manual.
Looking for the coupe version? Here’s the ‘06 model which also comes with either a 280 hp V6 with automatic or a 298 hp V6 with manual.
I took some pics of the Infiniti FX which comes in either a 280 hp V6 or a 315 hp V8.

finally here are pics of the VW Eos:
ah yes.. I have to show pics of the VW Gx3 which is a crossover between sports car and motorcycle. It comes with a 125 hp engine and weighs only 1257 lbs. You’ll go from 0 to 62.5 mph in 5.7 seconds. The Gx3 will have an estimated starting price under $17,000. City fuel economy is estimated to be at 46 mpg.
Lexus
Lexus was showing off the new IS series and man.. I think I’m in love with this car. The high end IS 350 comes with a 306 hp engine which is far beefier than ever before.
Then you had the new GS450h hybrid:
Here’s the SC for you two door freaks:
Finally a Lexus LF-A Super Premium Sports Concept Car:
Ah yes.. there’s also the Paul McCartney version SUV from Lexus.. I swear that sounded so lame..
For the next set of pics, I didn’t get much of a chance to do writeups so I’ll be posting just pics.
