Acer has released an update to their high end TravelMate notebook lineup – the Acer TravelMate 8200 featuring the new Intel Core Duo processor. The new notebook comes with a 15.4 inch widescreen TFT color display, Core Duo processors with speeds up to 2.16GHz, built in VoIP and voice capabilities, ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics, and 1GB of memory. Storage wise, you’ll be able to get a notebook with up to 120GB of space – not too shabby for a portable system these days.
The Acer TravelMate 8200 is clearly targeted towards business users with the inclusion of a mountable 1.3 megapixel Acer OrbiCam and the Acer Bluetooth VoIP phone. With these pieces in place, you can use the 8200 with the Acer Video Conference with Voice and VoIP services. The 8200 is expected to retail for at least $1999.
