I forgot to mention this last week but I finally got the Zero Hour faceplate for the Xbox 360 in the mail right before the Christmas break. The faceplate was supposed to have been given out during the Zero Hour event back in November but Microsoft didn’t get the supplies in time to hand out. So I stuck my name into a bowl full of names and a month later, a faceplate came in the mail.
If you’re wondering how to go about removing the faceplate on the Xbox 360 – there really isn’t much of any science to it. Just simply dig your nails into the top and bottom sides of the faceplate and then pull the cover right off. You could try wedging a small coin into the side notch but you might be better off using your nails instead. Give it a good yank – you won’t break anything surprisingly.
For those of you curious as to what the backside of the Xbox 360 faceplate looks like, here are some pics. There’s nothing remarkable at all.
Here are pics of the new Zero Hour faceplate installed on my Xbox 360. It took me a few days to get used to the new faceplate but I’m beginning to be fond of it. In fact, I’m starting to warm up to the whole faceplate concept. Who knows? I might end up getting more faceplates down the road if I have some spare change.
