Gosh I wish I was at CES 2006 this year.. alas.. work calls. I’m going to have to rely on the myriad of postings from other websites including Engadget who has some info on the new Sony DCR-SR100 video camcorder. This is Sony’s first hard drive based camcorder and it uses a 30 GB HDD and includes a 3.0 megapixel image sensor for digital stills. One of the cooler features about the Sony DCR-SR100 is the audio recording – it records in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. There’s also an optional Bluetooth based microphone to cover the center channel sound. Finally, the flip out LCD screen measures 2.7 inches and looks like a nice widescreen display. Lovely!
