Samsung has finally introduced the SCH-i830 Windows Mobile Smartphone for Verizon Wireless. As we reported earlier, the SCH-i830 will be available for business customers starting on Jan. 10th, 2006 and to regular consumer starting on Jan. 24th, 2006. Unlike the i730 which was strictly a CDMA phone, the i830 is a world phone with support for both CDMA and GSM. The phone includes VZemail, wireless sync, and standard Microsoft Pocket PC applications. Everything else about the phone is similar to the i730. You get a slider QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth wireless support, and SD I/O support.

The phone isn’t cheap though – expect to pay $599 for the phone with a two year agreement.
