Motorola has announced a new product called the Motorola Residential Seamless Mobility Gateway (or RSG) which uses the combined functionalities of WiFi, VoIP, and mobile phone networks to allow seamless roaming between home VoIP phone systems and mobile phone networks. Motorola will be coming out with two versions – the RSG2500 and the RSG3500.  The units combine a WiFi access point, a four port router, and a VoIP adapter into one device. The RSG can automatically transfer calls from a VoIP network to a mobile phone network without any interruption. The system determines the best method of communicating to the recipient on the other line.
