Samsung to provide new mobile phones to Vodafone
Samsung has announced that they will supply new mobile phones to Vodafone which utilize Qualcomm’s HSDPA modem chips. HSDPA stands for high speed downlink packet access and allows people to use multimedia services and Internet services at higher speeds and lower costs. HSDPA is used over WCDMA networks and increases the network throughput of WCDMA networks. As part of the deal, Samsung will purchase Qualcomm Mobile Station Modem chips to embed into the new mobile phones.
