It’s getting closer to Macworld so the rumors are now starting to kick into overdrive for Apple. Everyone has been speculating that Apple would be releasing Intel based systems at Macworld in January. Another rumor being talked about over at Wired.com is whether Apple has signed up to be a part of Intel’s Viiv initiative. It’s becoming clear that Apple intends to enter the digital living room market at some point and we all know that Intel has a new effort called Viiv which is their effort to make the PC a more reliable home multimedia platform. Thus far, it’s not clear whether Apple would want to be a part of the Viiv initiative since the platform does seem very Windows focused at this point.
