Hauppauge has announced a new mobile video recorder application called Wing designed to bring recorded television content to your portable media device including the iPod video and the Sony PSP, as well as other PMP devices. Wing works with all models of Hauppauge’s line of WinTV-PVR devices and includes a standalone transcoder which will convert MPEG video into a mobile video format.

You can use Wing in three different methods:

• Work with TitanTV to schedule TV recordings. Wing will record the shows into a mobile format with one click
• Use the latest version of WinTV Scheduler which includes the mobile video recorder
• Use Wing’s standalone converter to convert previously recorded materials.

Wing also has a direct to disk feature which allows you to record television shows straight to a DVD disk. Stay tuned for a review here at Krunker. I’ll be dying to use it!
