Here’s a funky looking computer case with a cheesy product name – the Thermaltake Kandalf VA9000 Series case. I don’t honestly believe they meant to make the case sound like a character from Lord of the Rings but who knows? In any event, the Kandalf case is able to use an ATX motherboard but can also be upgraded to support BTX systems as well with an optional BTX Upgrade Kit. The case includes:

  • Dual USB 2.0, FireWire, Audio, and Speaker ports
  • Relocateable front control panels
  • Screwless slots
  • 3 x 3.5″ HDD modules
  • Ventilation opening on top

I was hard pressed to really find anything wrong with the Thermaltake Kandalf VA9000SWA silver chassis other than it’s pricing. A check on PriceGrabber showed a range of pricing from $189.00 to $239.00.
