On second thought.. AOL decides to stick with Google
Similar to how Randall stuck it in Rebecca’s back when he denied her a job last night, AOL has decided to back away from making a deal with Microsoft and will stick with Google – at least according to a new report by News.com. The deal includes Google paying up to 1 billion dollars for a 5 percent stake in America Online which I suppose is still a relevant space on the Internet even though subscriber counts have been shrinking in recent years. In the supposed deal with Google, AOL will be able to sell ad space in its own search engine which is also powered by Google – alongside ads delivered by Google of course. Google will probably promote AOL websites on their sponsored links in search results also. The deal is not yet finalized – at least not until a board meeting next Wednesday. Stay tuned for as the world turns….
BTW – I think Randall made the wrong decision last night..
