If you’re interested in streaming Hi-Definition content over Wi-Fi from an MCE system to an Xbox 360, you might want to think things through. Kevin Tofel of HDBeat started looking into this issue here. You’ll definitely need a fast WiFi connection but that pretty much rules out 802.11b. So what’s your best bet? It’s going to either be 802.11a or g for now since those are the only other two standards that Microsoft supports for the 360 for now. Of course, you’re going to want to deal with proper plaecment of antennas and transmitters to minimize interference. Personally – I’d stick to a wired network as much as possible.
