Vonage is now selling what it calls the Vonage Wi-Fi Phone which is essentially a repackaged UTStarcom F1000 Wi-Fi handset. The F1000 Wi-Fi phone is a pocket sized wireless Internet phone that uses the Vonage service by connecting to wireless access point or hotspots. What does this mean for you? Well you can now take the handset to any place around the world and as long as you have wireless Internet access, you can get onto the Vonage network. Vonage has customized the F1000 to include standard features including three way calling, call waiting, repeat dialing, call forwarding, call hold/resume, voicemail, call rejecting/redial/mute, and Caller ID. The phone is going for $79.99 after a $50 dollar instant rebate. Other features include a Phone Book with up to 200 entries, Speed Dial codes, Call Log, and multiple ring tones.
