Ars Technica reviews the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet here. If you forgot about the 770, it was Nokia’s first Internet tablet which featured a bright high resolution 800 x 480 display, built in WiFi support, a web browser and an email client. Powering the 770 was a 250 MHz TI 1710 OMAP processor which always seemed a bit light to me but hey – this wasn’t running Windows or something (it uses Linux if you’re curious). In any case, the recent reviews of the 770 haven’t particularly been glowing.. so what would the folks at Ars Technica say?

After spending a few days using the 770 intensely, I feel conflicted about it. I want to love it, and some aspects of it exceeded my expectations. At the same time, the 770 has some serious shortcomings that need to be addressed in v2.0 of the 770 (or in the 771) if it is going to have wide success.
