HP has launched a new 17 inch widescreen laptop series called the HP Pavilion dv8000 with support for the AMD Turion 64 processor ML-32. The dv8000 has extensive multimedia support with a BrightView display, integrated Altec Lansing speakers, remote control, and pre-loaded InterVideo software. The dv8000 supports the HP QuickPlay technology which allows users to watch DVDs or listen to music without booting the system. The dv8000’s specs include:
