It’s safe to say that the Microsoft Portable Media Center has been somewhat of a flop thus far. Much to Microsoft’s dismay, there have only been a handful of hardware manufacturers who have signed up to create PMC devices – and many of them have decided to switch to their own UI after creating a PMC. DesignTechnica reviews a new PMP that has decided to use the PMC user interface. It’s called the Dream’eo Enza and it has 20GB of storage space with a 3.5 inch color LCD capable of displaying 16.7 million colors with 320 x 240 resolutions. Like other PMCs, the Enza works best when connected to a Windows Media Center system. So what’s the verdict?
In comparison to other portable video players, such as those put out by Archos, the Enza makes a decent stand but can’t quite muster up enough interest in design or offerings to totally compare.
