PetCell – a mobile phone for your dog
Aw heck, if everyone’s going to have a mobile phone, why not the family dog right? That’s what the folks over at PetsMobility have done with the new PetCell. That’s right – Good ol Rover can now have his very own phone number thanks to PetCell which is a bone shaped cell phone that is hung off a dog’s collar. In all seriousness, PetCell offers many useful features for dog owners. One of the cooler features is A-GPS (otherwise known as Assisted GPS) which will let owners track their dog’s movements even indoors. There will be an option called GeoFence which will warn dog owners when the dog has roamed outside of preset parameters. The PetCell will also support a small wireless camera which means you can turn Rover into a walking Nanny cam. Finally there will be built in temperature sensors that will warn you when the dog is too hot or too cold. Hopefully this will make the world just a bit safer for your dog.
