I’ll be honest – I haven’t been following up with the videp graphics card market as much as I should have. I suppose it’s because whatever it is that I have at home is now fast enough for my basic uses. Truth be told – I don’t game on my PC anymore, nor do I run anything so graphically intensive that I’ll need the very latest in graphics cards. However, it doesn’t mean that I’m not open to upgrading if need be and thus ExtremeTech’s review of ATI’s Radeon X1600 XT caught my attention. This is a middle of the road graphics card that sells for roughly $250 but is it really worth it?
The feature set is nice, but when it comes to performance this card just doesn’t cut the mustard.
Apparently not! Oh well, I guess I’ll have to look around a bit more. Maybe an NVIDIA solution will do.
