The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety have named their top 10 safest cars and they are as follows:
- Ford Five Hundred/Mercury Montego
- Audi A6
- Saab 9-3
- Suburu Legacy
- Audi A3
- Audi A4
- Chevrolet Malibu with optional side airbags
- Volkswagon Jetta
- Volkswagon Passat
- Honda Civic 4 door
Kudos for Audi for having three of the top ten cars on that list.
