There’s a forum review of the Sony NW-A3000 digital audio player over at Head-Fi.org here. A couple of interesting observations on this new player from the forum reviewer:

• It appears to be very resiliant to scratches – you hear that Apple???
• It only does gapless with ATRAC files
• 25 hour battery life with ATRAC files

The verdict from “carsncars” ?

Overall, the A3000 is a very nice unit– good hardware, great GUI. Still got the sound quality merits of the HD5, has a removable battery and above-average battery life.
