Good ol’ Steve reviews the Olympus Stylus 600 digital camera here. This camera features:
- 26 shooting modes including QuickTime movie
- Records images on xD memory cards (7.9 MB internal memory included)
- powered by lithium-ion battery
- 6-megapixel CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality 14 x 19-inch images
- 3x optical zoom; 2.5-inch LCD display with Bright Capture technology
- All-weather body designed and sealed to withstand all the elements–water, dust, and snow
The verdict?
while we love its speedy performance, helpful features, and of course all of those “cool” scene modes, the mediocre image quality really brings it down. With an MSRP of $299 it offers an OK value.
Definitely an inexpensive camera but I suppose I should look elsewhere for a point and shoot this holiday season (I’m looking for a replacement for my Sony DSC-T1 which I lost a few months back)
